This Totem developed in the 10th to 14th Century with the theme of unicity in multiplicity. This Islamic inspired embellishment is qualitative, not purely quantitative and has a contemplative aspect. It is a combination of the multiplication and the diverse with unity.
The Geometric found in railing of this Rumah Perak, is a modify version of the totem. It exclude the circular and extract the other straight line elements.

The Crossover line is also inspire by the Islamic Geometric Patterns. As we can see in the diagram, the Islamic Geometric have a language of crossover and repetition, the architect implement this two language into the Arch, again in a simplify method.
